516-Macrophage MR1 antigen presentation promotes immunity

Research identifies macrophages as the primary antigen-presenting cells for MAIT cells. High MR1 expression allows these macrophages to capture vitamin B-derived antigens from the microbiota. This interaction is vital for antimicrobial immunity and lung homeostasis.
