In the second episode of this series, retired KCPD gang investigator, Jim Herrington, tells how the 51st St Crips started a war with the Bloods affiliated gang, the Trey Wall. So named because that little Trey Wall gang always congregated at the stone wall on 33rd Street and Benton. The Trey Wall were a little more inventive in their name than the 51st Street Crips. Retired Detective Herrington will tell about a vicious Bloods and Crips gang war financed and fueled by the sale of crack cocaine. Jim gives the listener some insight into how they worked with federal agents, federal and state prosecutors and the KCPD Street Narcotics Unit. Law enforcement must make this type of multi-pronged effort to combat a very dangerous and difficult problem.
