Stranger number three is a passionate father, husband and teacher.  One of the things he loves most about the job is the 'a-ha' moments he sees in the young people he educates.  But one of his greatest fears is people seeing that he's not reached his own potential in life. 

What is potential anyway? The Krause trio dives into that question, touching on the highs and lows of expectations versus potential, the potential we see in ourselves versus the potential others see in us, whether there's a cap on potential, how we might calculate it... and more. 

The team has covered three of 52 strangers, and they're starting to catch their stride.

The Krause trio is starting to get their stride as they discuss stranger number two - a man with no arms and no legs and a zest for life.  It's a stranger that book author Jayson Krause continues to stay in touch with to this day - 15 years later. 

The theme of perception vs perspective comes in and how we interpret and act upon how we see the world around us.  The team discusses which one informs the other: Does perception influence your perspective, or does perspective influence your perception of things? 

With perception and perspective in mind, they also dive into legacy - what is it, and what does it mean? They tie it to stranger two's comments about not wanting to be a blip on a radar screen. 

Finally: Things versus experiences.  Is one better than the other? Why?  Do you need both? 

Stranger number two challenged the team and their perceptions and started to stimulate the different perspectives each has on the overarching theme.

Jayson Krause's best friend died a stranger to him. Revealing conversations with 52 complete strangers over the course of a year helped him unpack that void and provided a pathway to understanding deeper connections with others. 

Now, 15 years later, he's joined by his brother and sister to reboot the 52 People concept at a time when connection and understanding in a transactional, electronic-relationship world are at a premium.
