Researchers used
MERFISH and
scRNA-seq to map the
neuroimmune landscape of the mouse brain. They found that
maternal immune activation and
microbiome depletion disrupt fetal
neurogenesis and
chemokine pathways, leading to sex-specific
behavioral deficits in offspring.
