About Joanna

With more than 20 years of fundraising experience, including 12 years at the UofM, she originally joined the university’s development staff as Director of Development for the College of Education and subsequently served as director of major gifts, sr. director for university development, and deputy chief development officer. As CAO, Curtis guides academic fundraising and alumni engagement for the university.

Curtis received a Bachelor of Arts from Macalester College in St. Paul, MN and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Memphis, and earned her CFRE in 2008. She serves on the board of directors for the Madonna Learning Center.
