In this episode, I share a personal and intimate glimpse into my journey with cacao - how this sacred plant first found me, the moments that shaped my relationship with it, and the path it opened within my life and work.
From early encounters in Brazil and Mexico, to sitting in women’s circles, moving through loss, training with teachers from the Mayan lineage in Guatemala, visiting the lands of cacao and learning directly from the tree and fruit, cacao has been a quiet yet powerful thread weaving through it all.
This is not just a story about cacao. It’s a story about initiation, discernment, healing, and devotion.
I also speak honestly about the complexities, the importance of safe and trauma-informed spaces, the nuance of cultural respect, and how my relationship with cacao has evolved over time.
This episode is a gentle doorway into a deeper body of work I’m currently sharing inside Nectar, my membership space for women.
Inside Nectar, I’ll be exploring more of the symbolism, cosmology, medicinal properties, and lived experience of cacao, as well as simple and meaningful ways to integrate its teachings into everyday life.
