Research identifies
low-gamma power in the
anteromedial orbitofrontal cortex (amOFC) as a biomarker for OCD distress. Stimulating the
ventral basal ganglia (NAc-VeP) reduces this neural activity and alleviates symptoms, supporting
personalized, closed-loop deep brain stimulation.
