1) A new federal bill would establish a national minimum age for social media use and require tech companies to get parents’ consent before creating accounts for teens. 2) Florida Republicans approved bills to ban diversity programs in colleges and prevent students and teachers from being required to use pronouns that don’t correspond to someone’s biological sex. 3) A Minnesota judge found former Minneapolis police officer Tou Thao guilty of aiding and abetting second-degree manslaughter for his role keeping bystanders back in the May 2020 killing of George Floyd.
