If there is one thing that 2020 has brought to light, it is the impact that living with uncertainty has upon us all. As you are all too aware, it’s been a year filled with unpredictability regarding the pandemic, schools, employment, killer bees - you name it - and, as you also know, this uncertainty takes its toll, no matter who you are. Today, we’re going to dive into this one certainty in our life, and look at some strategies to help manage it.
I’ll share a fair amount of research with you regarding coping with uncertainty and the reasons why we struggle so much with it. We’ll explore the necessity to live with uncertainty as well as 5 coping mechanisms, and then I’ll ask you to select one of these mechanisms to work on over the coming weeks. As the saying goes, ‘uncertainty is the only certainty there is’, and I know you’ll agree that 2020 has proven that beyond a shadow of a doubt. Do yourself a favor, join me today to confront this component in all our lives, understand exactly why it exists, and adopt some strategies to overcome it – you will be so glad that you did.
Fortunately, one step toward managing the uncertainty in your life takes place today (November 18 at 4:00 p.m. PST), during the free workshop I’m hosting called ‘Clear AF’.
