Simon is a movement teacher, lifelong practitioner and explorer of bodymind traditions from around the world including traditional Yoga, Chinese internal martial arts, Capoeira, Feldenkrais, Butoh, wrestling and Brasilian Jiujitsu; he as a decade-long career as a bodyworker, therapist and exercise rehabilitation practitioner; extensive practice and research into Buddhist, Yogic and Daoist meditation and an academic background in medical science, anthropology, evolutionary biology and ecology. Ancestral Movement is the synthesis of this experience, an ongoing exploration of human embodiment within the context of biological evolution, ecology, and the shared ancestry of all living beings through deep time.
