Over the last year of hosting various Estrogen Empire topics, I thought it was time we create tangible change. After learning about period inequity in Canada, I felt compelled to do something about it. Did you know that 1 third of women under the age of 25 have struggled to pay for period products? Did you know that in Northern Indigenous Communities in Canada can range anywhere from $16-$45? Period inequity is a burden that many women face. Access to menstrual products should be a human right, not a luxury. The Estrogen Empire, it is time we come together to collect menstrual products to donate to those who need them. I asked Founder of Moon Time Sisters Ontario to come on the show and provide insight to where our donations are going. I will be collecting donations via mail and contactless drop off from now until March 8th. Please, if you are able to donate 1 small pack of pads, please do. Let's do this.
