#58: Why No One Can Be Your #1 Safe Person — Except You

Listen Later

In this episode, I reflect on something deeply personal: the realization that no one — no matter how much they love you — can be your safe space in every way, at all times.

We often expect the people we love to understand us fully, to show up for us consistently, and to meet all of our emotional needs. But the truth is, every person has limits. They have their own lives, their own capacity, and their own struggles. And even the most loving person won’t always be able to be there in the exact way you need.

I talk about how painful this realization can be — especially when you’ve communicated your needs and they’re still not being met. It can feel like rejection. Like you’re asking for too much. Like something is missing.

But this episode is about shifting that perspective.

Instead of staying in a cycle of hoping, waiting, and feeling let down, I explore what it means to become your own safe space. To recognize patterns instead of holding onto potential. To accept people for who they are — not who you wish they could be.

Because real peace doesn’t come from finding someone who can meet every need.
It comes from knowing that even when others can’t show up, you still can — for yourself.

This episode is about:
✨ letting go of unrealistic expectations
✨ understanding emotional capacity and human limits
 ✨ choosing clarity over confusion
✨ and building a relationship with yourself that feels safe, steady, and reliable

Because the safest place you’ll ever have…
is the one you create within yourself.
