Dr. Robert J. Myles is a New Testament scholar from Aotearoa New Zealand. He is currently the Senior Lecturer in New Testament and Director of Research at Wollaston Theological College, a college of the University of Divinity. Prior to this he lectured full-time at the University of Auckland (2015-2016) and Murdoch University (2017-2021).
His writing focuse on the historical formation of the early Jesus movement and the socio-economic realities of first-century Palestine. He has published widely in historical Jesus studies, Gospel studies (particularly Matthew), and the ideological contexts of contemporary New Testament scholarship.
