My son Jasper turns 7 on July 23, and it's hard to believe that I've been a mother for 7 years! Time flies by, and as cliché as it may sound, it's undeniably true. However, there's something that seems to weave its way into the lives of every mother: mom guilt.
In today's episode, I'm going to share with you seven regrets I have as a mother, some of which I've never had the courage to admit out loud before. But more importantly, I want to explore how I'm actively learning to forgive myself and navigate the constant presence of mom guilt and shame that lingers in my life. I've yet to meet a single mother who hasn't experienced these emotions in some way; it's like a persistent cloud that weighs us down.
In this episode, we cover:
I need you to know that you are not alone and you're not a bad mom. You are good enough, even in your weaknesses, trauma, and moments of losing your temper. God made you their mother for a reason, and you are the right woman for the job. Embrace your journey with confidence.
