En este capítulo escucharás nuestra entrevista a Cecilia Millán, psicogerontóloga argentina con amplia experiencia en trabajo en residencias, miembro de la Sociedad Argentina de Gerontología y Geriatria y docente de la Universidad de Buenos Aires. Hablamos sobe la importancia del afecto en el contexto de los cuidados y cómo a veces se descuida la importancia de lo emocional, tanto de los cuidadores como de la persona que se cuida. También discutimos sobre el impacto del edadismo/viejismo en los cuidados.

In this chapter you will listen to our interview with Cecilia Millán, an Argentine psychogerontologist with extensive experience working in nursing homes, member of the Argentine Society of Gerontology and Geriatrics, and professor at the University of Buenos Aires. We talked about the importance of affection in the context of caregiving and how the relevance of the emotional aspect is sometimes neglected, both for the caregivers and the person being cared for. We also discussed the impact of ageism on caregiving.
