The impact of emotional trauma in our lives is something that we all experience everyday. Our daily thoughts, emotions, self-image and relationships are all shaped by the painful experiences that we have gone through in the past. It's difficult for me to accept that I was abandoned by my mother in an alleyway when I was less than one day old. However, the painful reality of knowing that I was rejected the moment I was born is something that I am no longer running from. In sharing my own emotional trauma, I hope to encourage others to take a look inward and begin to face that latent pain that's deep within, in order to break through and emerge to a higher state of consciousness and a better you. This work is just beginning for me and instead of tip toeing through it, I decided to point a flashlight on it for you all to see. Why? Because, in life, the name of the game is Purpose, which is what we're all truly looking for. If all of us are stumbling in the dark, then how can any of us find our way? And yes, I agree. Uncovering the truth beneath our scar tissue is extremely terrifying. It is, however, incredibly meaningful, as that is where your Purpose has been hiding all along. Through my journey, I have learned so much and it's only just beginning. I believe that there is meaning in suffering, if you can learn to love yourself just enough to take that first step in discovering it. Take that first step with me.
