6. How to Develop an On-Camera Presence

Listen Later

One major mindset shift that will help you conquer any on-camera fears is to think of yourself as talking to one person. This helps you relax and really connect with your message. It also will make your content more casual and conversational.

The connection between your content and your audience is vital to keep them coming back and engaging. This isn’t something that you can develop in a few videos. This is something you want to keep revisiting. If you’re watching your old videos and not cringing then you’re not growing. That’s not a good sign!

You want to see growth over time and keep developing your on-camera skills and comfort level so that you can keep that strong connection with your audience. In This is Video Skill, I even break down videos of famous people to show you how they’re connecting with their audience. Everything from their voice patterns, facial expressions, and body language you’ll see broken down to what works for them and why.
