Last two and a half years I've committed myself to the very tedious, frugal and unsexy financial task of first getting myself out of debt and then building up my six month emergency fund. These steps are taken straight from Dave Ramsey. I love his baby steps but ignore his crazy religion talk. Don't marry someone's debt but definitely move in with your partner to save money.
