In Egypt and perhaps other Eastern countries, there's an expression called ¨Westerner´s complex¨ where the person feels as if anything coming from the West is better and more valuable than what the country has.  
Lets listen to what Dr Sherif Kamel has to say about that developed trait or behaviour and if it´s still as prevalent today as it was before.

Dr Sherif is a professor of ophthalmology in Cairo University and a consultant neuro-opthalmologist.
