The words of a successful entrepreneur calling his customers ignorant is both insulting and sobering. To recognize in P.T. Barnum’s statement our own vulnerability to being taken should be enough to make us stop being emotionally played and start seeing life for what it actually is and being diligent enough to critically think our way through life rather than shut down when our animal brain gets lazy.
