    Thank you for joining me on another edition of ISV Radio and a HUGE thank you to all of you who have been subscribing. As I was browsing through the internet I came across an article/video about headphones that get you high. A flood of thoughts immediately came to me and I started writing. Writing has always been a way for me to process things and an outlet for my inner thoughts. This one article was the basis and inspiration for this podcast so I hope you resonate with it and enjoy.

  • FILA's and Immigrants.

    Thank you for joining me on another edition of ISV Radio. On this show I talk about two videos that made an impact on me this week for two very different reasons. One shows my tendencies to lean towards abolishing the mindset of materialism and consumerism and another on the issue of immigration. If you are an avid listener and have subscribed, thank you!!!     family

    Once upon a time
    Families stayed together
    but this will not be true in my era
    This is a quick fix society
    Experts tell me
    30 years from now, I will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of my divorce
    I do not concede that
    I will live in a country of my own making
    In the future
    Environmental destruction will be the norm
    No longer can it be said that
    My peers and I care about this earth
    It will be evident that
    My generation is apathetic and lethargic
    It is foolish to presume that
    There is hope.And all of this will come true unless we choose to reverse it .(now read it from the bottom up in reverse)Music:

  • LGBTQ and Religion

    Guest, Amanda and David, with host Jaime. Not pictured, Alvaro (co-host) who was joining us through Skype. 

    Hello and welcome to another edition of ISV Radio. Today we talk about the LGBTQ community and this show is particularly special as I am joined by two great friends, Amanda Barrera and David Calvillo. I have known Amanda since my High School Days (which has been a long time ago at this point lol) and met David via Amanda. I wanted to invite them to help me discuss a topic that has been heavy on my heart for awhile, the topic of Religion and the LGBTQ community. It stems from seeing people who say they live their life around Love, yet seem to have a hard time showing it to certain groups of people. I know this is not the case for everyone, but I see it more often then not, and felt like I needed to record a show to in order to express to people that LOVE is MY religion/Spirituality/moral meter and that Love is rooted in the life and example of Jesus. That is the kind of “religion/spiritually” I want to spread and I want to express to those that are hurting that there are people who love you and identify with what you are going through. David said it best during the show, “We are survivors.” and I am glad they are but what about those who are/were not? What happens to those who are going through this right now? Just know you are not alone. David and Amanda graciously said if you have any questions/concerns or just need someone to talk to, you can email me (i'll pass them along) or post them here. You are not alone my friends. 

     

    I ask that you listen with an open mind and heart, we are just trying to open the forum to discuss, learn and listen from other. We at ISV Radio believe that with open dialogue we can understand each other and make this world a better place one podcast at a time.
