How many young girls are ashamed of their period so they hide their tampons? How many grown ass women still do this?⁣ or get that pang of shame when we have to ask someone if they have one?⁣ ⁣ I can remember being a thirteen year old girl lying about why I needed to go to the nurses office to my teacher and friends because I didn't want anyone to know I had started my period.⁣ ⁣ I can remember feeling ashamed that I had to start with using pads because my flow was too heavy and a tampon hurt me.⁣ ⁣ What I can not imagine is being a girl that dreads this time of the month that much more because her cramps are debilitating.⁣ ⁣ I can't imagine forcing myself to function on the amount of pain that is describe by @lorenstudivant in today's episode as a 29 year old woman, let alone a young girl.⁣ ⁣ She tells it all, and I'm so grateful she did.
