#61 - The Kingdom of Darkness Falls (Revelation 18:1-24)

In Revelation 12 the apostle John shifts his attention from the material sufferings and oppression that the churches he cares for face and towards the spiritual reality behind this suffering. John employs images from the Old Testament prophets to reveal how the powers of the world stand on their allegiance to Satanic forces that have been in rebellion against God's plans since the very beginning. However, John declares that these powers will not stand, that the Kingdom of God will triumph, and the powers of this age will eventually realise their mistake at having aligned themselves with the forces of darkness.
