This week David finishes our two week preaching on "hearing God." He encourages us saying, "...you can hear God! Start believing God wants to have this type of relationship with you."

The early church grew incredibly because one of the central themes of their lives were based on learning and following the apostle's teachings. The same is true of any church or any believer today.

Our hearts must be open to receive and be filled with the Holy Spirit. Apart from salvation itself, the baptism and filling of the Holy Spirit is the most important experience in the life of a believer. Apart from the Holy Spirit, we cannot be effective in sharing the gospel with the world, bring life, liberty, and healing He brings.

Fortunately, we have a good Father who generously gives the Holy Spirit to all who ask!

Growth and maturity should be a normal and natural part of our physical and spiritual lives. Then, how do we grow as believers? We grow in the understanding of the call God has for our lives and obedience to his will.

The truest measure of Christian maturity is how long it takes one to obey God's lead.
