Cora was diagnosed with a brain tumour at 14. Five years later the tumour grew back and was removed. Ever since, Cora has been doing well and now works with the Stollery.

Madelyn's parents found out of her diagnosis before she was even born. After her 20 week ultrasound, Mom (Terra) and Dad (Matt) found out their unborn daughter would be born with a condition called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. About 30 minutes after Madelyn was born she was transferred to the Stollery and spent a week at the NICU. Madelyn has since gone two successful surgeries, with a third planned for later this year.

Kayleen was very sick in early 2009. She lost 20 pounds in two days and spent the next two weeks in hospital, eventually being diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. She eventually became a nurse at the Stollery and is now doing many great different things.

Aiden suffered with congenital heart defect called tetralogy of fallout. After a successful surgery, Aiden is now in Grade 7, playing hockey and is ski racing with the Sunridge Alpine Ski Team.

Lindsey Galloway with the Edmonton Valley Zoo provides an update on Lucy the elephant's condition and what the zoo plans to do as she ages.
