In this episode, David North, a close friend of Dr. Seth Hazlitt (William Windom) has returned to Cabot Cove to star in a play.  However, when David North's manager is murdered, Jessica, Seth, Sheriff Metzger (Ron Mazak) and Deputy Broom (Louis Herthum) must work to solve it.  Real Estate Agent Eve Simpson (Julie Adams) also gets a part in the play.
