Today for our 65th episode, I am going to share with you the top 10 things that inspired me after spending last weekend in Lisbon with 30 other entrepreneurs.
Let’s start with some context. I am part of a private forum of serious entrepreneurs called the DC, which was started by the guys behind the Tropical MBA podcast. I have been listening to the podcast for the past 5 years, ever since my friend Nate Ginsburg introduced it to me. For the first two years of listening to the podcast, they would mention this thing called the “DC” and I wondered if they meant Washington DC. Eventually, I asked Nate about the community and he was quick to sing the praises.
This private forum has requirements before even joining, and no guarantee you’ll get accepted. But once you’re in, it’s totally worth it. You get access to meet ups, can vet your business ideas, and do so much more.
Anyway, I saw a post earlier this year about a DC event in Lisbon, and knowing my travel plans had me in Lisbon, I said “I’m 90% in” and thought nothing of it.
Fast forward 6 months, and I made it official and even volunteered to give a talk at the event. This was a super informal event, with participants in all walks of life, types of business and interests. During the time, I walked away with a ton of ideas for how to run a better business, how to lead a better lifestyle, and the motivation to get started.
