Hi Friend!
I am BACK! I took a solid month off to just finish up making some good memories with my little people and husband. I had to recognize I couldn't do it all ( like, I like to think I can haha) We traveled to Washington Island multiple times, one of my sons went on a Father Son getaway to spectate a disc golf tournament for the first time, my hubby passed his 4th and FINAL exam and passed for his CPA certification (YAY!), we had a wedding to get through that some of us were involved in, harvest season in the garden is always exciting and time consuming, and much more! Not to mention these 4 humans can kick my butt some days haha...I am definitely always needed, so I very much rely on my very early morning runs and workouts and Bible Time. God has been good to us and now we are heading in to Fall and more of a school routine.
Today's episode we chat about the importance of sitting down as a family for dinner. I saw someone share something on Instagram about it and it really sunk in and I felt like it would be a great topic of conversation. There are SO many benefits of making family dinners a priority no matter what time they happen or what gets served. It is HUGE in your children's little years as it is such an amazing way to connect with them and everyone can enter in to each other's lives. I share about how I have grown up with it, what it's meant to me now as a parent, the value around it, and all the healthy things it can bring to the home.
I want you to make sure to value your precious family time and guard it during this shifting season of kids going back to school or starting up homeschool, work schedules change, sports and activities take over, or whatever gets in the way...let's make connecting with our loved ones while sharing a delicious meal more normal. It will pay off in the future.
Be Blessed,
Gabby
