68: Why the tax cuts don't go far enough, with Allan Mason, Kerry Packer's former accountant

Listen Later

This week we spoke to Allan Mason, the former accoutant of media mogul and industry titan Kerry Packer. To paraphrase Kerry, he famously told parliament one day, "Anyone who doesn't try to minimise their tax should have their head read".

And there's a lot of taxes in Australia, so Allan showed us how to minimise your tax burden, whether you earn $50,000 or $50 million. The best secrets are in his book, Tax Secrets of the Rich, however - now updated for 2024.

Plus we chat to resident finance journo Bernadette Lunas on the latest property price forecast. And of course, all the latest news.
