That's the headline from the Winnipeg Working Group for Sex Workers Rights, who say the Heritage Classic version of the "Buying sex is not a sport" campaign is misguided and wasteful. They say that major sporting events do NOT lead to an increase in sex trafficking, having been disproved multiple times. Do you have to deal with negativity at work? We were talking on Wednesday about how those who hand out parking tickets probably take a lot of heat from angry Winnipeggers, and that got us thinking about jobs like that, or jobs in customer service, or maybe that negativity is coming from co-workers, or maybe it's not just negativity -- it's harassment. Carolyn Klassen with Conexus Counselling joins Greg & Brett to figure it out.

Brett & Greg are joined by University of Manitoba Fine Arts graduate Zahra Baseri, who came to Canada six years ago from Iran with her husband. She's been named the Manitoba winner in the 14th annual BMO 1st Art! Invitational Student Art Competition, which honours visual arts excellence in post-secondary institutions across Canada. Her work will be showcased from November 17th to December 17th at the Justina M. Barnicke Gallery at the University of Toronto, and she won $5,000!

Brett & Greg are joined by Stella Mazza, founder and chair of 'Princess for a Day', which just held its 11th annual event at the Manitoba Legislative Building on Sunday, October 16th. It's in support of children's charities in Manitoba, and the building was transformed into 'Castle Chavella', with over 100 girls getting a makeover to become a princess. Sixty of those girls are dealing with life-threatening or chronic illnesses, but for one day, got to live like a princess.

Greg & Brett are joined by Jamie Hilland, program director for Active and Safe Routes to School with the Green Action Centre. A new cycling education and skills training program has been launched at four schools in the Seven Oaks School Division, through a partnership with Manitoba Public Insurance, Bike Winnipeg, the WRENCH and the Green Action Centre. The program will provide 20 hours of safety training over five years of training from Grades 4 to 8 to teach kids how to ride on the road properly, and encourage bicycling as a mode of transporation.
