This is a more comprehensive, big picture goals of creating lasting, real change in your brain & body to bring about peace that passes understanding.
Teaching your nervous system that you are safe is not an easy job because your brain is wired (from life experiences) to bypass the reasoning part of our brain. Therefore, recovering from chronic symptoms is a journey. It's important to be patient with yourself.
The journey includes small changes and big changes.
After you listen to my video, I would love if you would add your comments below. What changes have helped you to teach your nervous system that you are okay?
This week I answer the question that someone sent me via email. "What practical things can I do/ think to make my nervous system feel safe and turn down pain?"
I also briefly answer the question someone else emailed me "Is this spiritual attack?"
For me, teaching my nervous system that I was safe included a combination of superficial changes in how I was using my body but also in how I approached life at a deep level. This included battling fear with the armor of the Lord.
