"There was 2 ways of culture shock. One was realizing all the surface level different things, but then, after being there for a few months, really having to reconcile with the fact that the values of this culture were different than those from the culture I had grown up in."

Today, we travel to South Korea with Elias, a young USian who moved across the world for a year at just 18 years old. In this first part of our conversation, Elias and I talk about his decision to leave, the language barrier, and his culture shock.
