#7 – Become Your Child’s Inspirer (The Hierarchy of Successful Parenting Model)
Assalaamualaikum & Greetings!
Welcome to Cool Mum Super Dad, your companion on this rollercoaster ride called parenthood. I'm your host, Jamilah Samian, a parenting author and speaker.
In this episode, I talk about how you can become your child’s "Inspirer: Leading Your Child With A Clear Purpose". This idea is embedded in The Hierarchy of Successful Parenting Leadership Model, as presented in my book, “Leadership In Parenting”. This parenting model has 5 Parenting Functions, also known as Levels i.e.: Builder, Provider, Connector, Developer, and Inspirer.
Builder: Level 1
Build A Strong Marriage Foundation
(Synergistic and Supportive Relationship)
Provider – Level 2
Provide Basic Physical Needs
(Subsistence Parenting)
Connector - Level 3
Fulfill Holistic Human Needs
(Connect to the Creator: Spiritual, Intellectual, Social, Emotional)
Developer – Level 4
Develop Personal Aspiration
(Empower the Passion)
Inspirer – Level 5
Inspire Future Leader
(Leading with Impact)
As you listen, you'll identify which level you're currently at. As well, you'll learn how you can move to the next, higher level. Understanding all levels will expand your capacity to lead your child better, so that your child earns their place as a wise, balanced, future leader.
