On this episode of the 7 Figure CEO Podcast, I have the honor of speaking with a dear friend, (and my first mentor) Matt Arroyo.
Mr. Arroyo is a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, former UFC fighter, Abu Dhabi Competitor, Co-Authored the BJJ Manifesto with Rob Kahn, and is the Owner of Gracie Tampa South (15 years).
As the owner of a wildly successful Academy, operating a 9,000 sq. ft. facility, he knows the importance of having the proper systems and processes in place. These systems allow him to delegate responsibilities to trained staff (when it comes to marketing for his Academy, he delegates to the experts - Grow Pro Agency). He finds this investment pays the best interest - Freeing up more time that can be spent with his family.
Matt has helped me to become the marketer I am today, by teaching me the ins and outs of click funnels, nurture sequences, and Facebook Ads. Like me, he's a big advocate for putting greater emphasis on speed of implementation rather than waiting for perfection.
He shares the key elements that have led to his success as an entrepreneur, such as enlisting the expertise of a mentor, and how he overcame the obstacles of Covid. His advice: "Don't be afraid to give up control" and "Don't overthink it."
His story of triumph is truly inspiring and I know you're gonna love it too!
On this episode of the 7 Figure CEO Podcast, I speak with my friend Joshua Frye who is a Grow Pro and A-Team Client, USA Director of The Krav Association, and owner of The Training Grounds Martial Arts Academy (Estero, FL).
He is a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, 4th Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo, Black Belt in The Duke Roufus Kickboxing Association, and in his 22nd year as a full-time teacher.
I enjoyed picking his brain, diving into the impact of the customer journey on an academy's success, and discussing the importance of taking the time to empower your team in order to execute your vision as CEO.
The Training Grounds Martial Arts Academy caters to adults, offering programs for Muay Thai kickboxing, BJJ, and Krav Maga, and has an active count of 402 students. Tune into this episode to hear Mr. Frye's journey to CEO.
Dynamic Duo, 3rd degree Black Belts in BJJ, and Owner/Operators of Pendergrass Academy of Martial Arts (Raleigh, North Carolina) - the Pendergrass Brothers do not disappoint in this episode of the Podcast.
It was an honor to interview these two as my very 1st A Team Clients on the 7 Figure CEO Podcast.
Rob & Guy Pendergrass and I started working together back in 2017.
They own a super successful BJJ School in North Carolina, with around 350 students evenly split between Kids and Adults, - they are a rare breed.
Over the years they have not only become one of my top-performing clients but some of my closest friends.
They are Senior Ad Account Managers at Grow Pro and have helped hundreds of School Owners level up their Marketing.
Tune in to hear their story while they are on the path (and getting very close) to becoming 7 Figure CEO’s!
On this episode of the & Figure CEO Podcast, I speak with Natasha Kothare - Grow Pro Client, and Director of Operations for Master Peter's Academy of Martial Arts (Dayton, NJ).
Natasha shares how her academy pivoted during the pandemic through the use of a virtual learning platform. Despite the huge effects the pandemic had in their area, MPAMA is moving into their 11th year in business with a 98% close rate (making their academy part of the 2% of businesses to make it past the 10-year mark).
Natasha breaks down the many hats she wears as Director of Operations - overseeing classes/camps/after school, developing and improving systems, streamlining the onboarding process, and empowering the members of the MPAMA team to become 1% better every day.
Natasha is a ROCKSTAR, full of powerful insight and I had an absolute blast speaking with her.
On this episode, I speak with Mike Friedman of Champion Karate and Knockout Fitness (Lake Mary, FL) - who recently earned his 7th Degree Black Belt!
Getting started about 19 years ago in a 2,000 sq. ft. facility - he teamed up with the owner of Focus Performing Arts Studio and they purchased a 1.5-acre piece of land to develop their own 11,000 sq. ft. facility.
Champion Karate offers martial arts programs for kids, teens, and adults. Knockout Fitness has a wide range of programs to choose from, including group fitness, personal coaching, and their “New Year, New You - Transformation Challenge.”
