  • ONLY BLACK AND WHITE
    ONLY BLACK AND WHITE
It’s not the way the cards are dealt in our lives
It’s not the game that runs the show
Tt’s not the score that governs how we play it
It’s more the luck, the luck of the draw
There’s nothing we can do to change it
There’s nothing known to make it follow through
We try to influence the outcome
But soon we see the painful truth
Things happen, not always for a reason
Fools govern, a fool in many seasons
From the leaders, of those who don’t understand
To those who would hurt with delight
It’s not the fortune of our virtue
To guide the time, or save the day
So sad to realize, there’s no compassion
The enemy cannot see gray, only black and white
There’s nothing we can do to change it
There’s nothing known to make it follow through
We try to influence the outcome
But soon we see the painful truth
Things happen, not always for a reason
Fools govern, a fool in many seasons
From the leaders, of those who don’t understand
To those who would hurt with delight
It’s not the fortune of our virtue
To guide the time, or save the day
So sad to realize, there’s no compassion
The enemy cannot see gray, only black and white

  • SEE IT SURELY
    SEE IT SURELY
    WORDS BY JOEL PIRARD
No place to go but we go on although we try to see it
No one believes the truth although we see a place to go to see it
We speak to love as well as trying to repair to our hearts
We lose control when we have all resolved to see the call
When we try to see it coming we see it surely, see it surely
Walking on see the path is clear, take a step, just a little step
Calling out sees the way near
Walking on to the setting sun
We must try to see the setting sun
No one will lead us on to see the falling daylight fading
We must realize the truth and when walking into the future
The call of glory seen to all our children’s children’s fancy
The feel of music as the venture of the lucky ones
When we fly to the mountainside we see it surely, see it surely
Carry on take to the skies, take me home, take it home now
Carry it through see the changes come
Take it now, take it, take it to the heart-stone
When we try to see it calling, see it surely, see it surely
When we fly to the mountainside we see it surely, see it surely
When we try to see it coming we see it surely, see it surely
When we fly to the mountainside, we see it surely, yes we will see it surely
When we fly to the mountainside, when we fly to the mountainside
When we see it coming we will see it surely
When we fly to the mountainside, when we fly to the mountainside
We’ll see it so surely, see it surely
    Coming home
    To the heart-stone!

  • If You Let It 8-9-2026 work in progress updated
    IF YOU LET IT
    In the early morning
as you open up your eyes
    you can feel the warming
    of the sunlit skies
    if you stop to listen
you can fell the moment bring
    through the open window
    nature's music as it sings
So get out while you can
feel the message of the land
    as the gentle breezes play
roll it roll it all the day
In the thinking of a dream
is the essence of a scene
    gentleness inside a breeze
    is it ever truly real
are you brave to make the call
do you seek to give your all
    going forth and being more
will you reach your daily goal
In the evening as it goes
as the day comes to a close
do you feel a sense of growing
in the saga as it goes
is the setting of the sun
    marking time until the dawn
was it worth to go an wander
so much of our time we squander
So roll it while you can
    play it with the band
    set your voice in harmony
roll it now and you'll be free
yes roll and you will see
    the feeling of the melody
    it's just a simple song
    but music makes you strong
    if you let it....

  • THERE'S ALWAYS A MOMENT 8-9 work in progress UPDATED
    THERE’S ALWAYS A MOMENT
    Intro 2 times
    1) There’s always a moment, to make a decision, there’s always a time to regret.
There’s always a feeling, that leads to an action Sometimes that’s all that you get.
    2) A moment of joy or a moment of sorrow, that leads to repentance or blame The senses it toys with, maybe tomorrow, can it ever be the same? So many chances, so many dances, then one miss-step topples the scene, a balancing act, so fragile a sequence, brought down with the force of a breeze.
    REFRAIN
Was it up to us, merely ‘cause it was? Could it not be true, Is there now, even a clue?
    INSTRUMENTAL (SHORT)
    3) Wasting a moment, wasting a time shared, all for the proof of a point.
Unwilling to offer, a branch from the olive, dug down so far in the dirt.
Is there an answer, is there intention, to fill the great divide?
Can there be a new way, to put on the brakes of the ride?
    4) She’s packed up her things now, she’s ready to leave it, ready to leave it and go.
What can he say to, deter her from going, how can he get her to know?
Just how much he still loves her, just how much he needs her,
What can simple words do, unless the words are true.
    INSTRUMENTAL (LONG)
    REFRAIN 2
Was it up to us, merely ‘cause it was? Could it not be true, Is there now, even a clue?
    5) There’s only one thing left, to make her understand.
He must try his best, and take her by the hand.
    6) Tell her he loves her, tell her he needs her, say she’s the reason for life.
Speaking the truth now, making her sure now, he’ll always be by her side.
    REPEAT 5, 4 , Repeat refrain 1, repeat 5, 6

  • On a Reflection 8-9 work in progress UPDATED
    ON A REFLECTION
When the music comes around, when you feel the notes abound
As the tune suggests a song, will you Sing?
In the days and in the night, with the knowledge of the light
Songs are born, and songs delight
there’s an echo in a phrase, of a tune from older days
With a vision from the sky, or maybe heaven
So you learn to trust that time, with an ear toward the rhyme
As you soul reflects the incandescent feeling
    CHORUS
La De Da seems so divine, Do-Re- Mi- to sing the line
All the world just seemed so fine, in recalling of a time,
    a time we know well
So as we sing the newest song, declarations newly born
Does the judgement of the day, reflect the things we say?
Sometimes actions of a dream, beckon us to things unseen
Is the essence, truly present, as foreseen
So sing the song out for today, sing it out for yesterday
For the reason, for the season, anyway,
    REPEAT CHORUS
La De Da seems so divine, Do-Re- Mi- to sing the line
All the world just seemed so fine, in recalling of a time,
on reflection, it might be heaven?

  • what if 9-16 scratch lead vocal: work in progress
    WHAT IF
WHAT IF WE SAW IT, WHAT IF WE FELT IT, WHAT IF IT WASN’T TRUE,
WHAT COULD IT DO TO ME? WHAT COULD IT DO TO YOU?
WHAT IF THE DAYDREAM, WAS NAUGHT BUT A PIPE DREAM,
WOULD IT BE JUST A LIE?
WISHING TO SEE IT, WANTING TO HOLD IT,
HIDDEN AMONG THE SKIES, HIDING A BIG SURPRISE
IS IT THE FEELING, JUST ‘ROUND THE CORNER, SOMETHING THAT IS SUBLIME?
FOLLOW THE ACTION, TO THE CONCLUSION, THE RUSH OF EMOTIONS AND TIME
WHAT WOULD IT DO TO ME? WHAT WOULD IT DO TO YOU?
    (INSTRUMENTAL)
HIDDEN AMONG THE STARS, SEEMINGLY FROM AFAR,
WHAT WOULD IT DO ME, WHAT WOULD IT DO TO YOU?
