Richard Falkner has entered HP48hours eleven times. Teams he has populated are - Empire of Reason, Traces of Nut and this year in 2017 he formed a one-man team called Temple of Solitude.

These teams have had their successes and their failures including coming in 2nd place to Taika Waititi, winning best-disqualified team twice and he was also in the Wellington team Traces of Nut which took home the National prize in 2013.
