Umami Conversations

#7 Vunerability and God with Kabasigyi Mulera pt.1

Listen Later

Kabasigyi Mulera, is a Psychology student who has a passion to share her experiences with navigating and healing the effects of complex-trauma and PTSD. She understands very well that there are various factors that can contribute to a decline in one's mental, emotional, spiritual and physical health.

She also knows and likes to say that "there is not one prescription to healing."  Known for her boldness and vulnerability, Kabasigyi likes to emphasize that she's still working things out and isn't always as vulnerable as people see her to be.

Kabasigyi dropped out of University in 2012 because her undiagnosed mental and emotional health issues were affecting every area of her life. Now, at the age of 30, she is returning to school to complete her degree and has hopes to do her masters and PhD in Health Psychology.

Kabasigyi loves to reflect, laugh at memes, sit by the water and drink strong ginger tea. You can follow her on Instagram or clubhouse @kbmulera.

In this first part of the conversation, we share thoughts on :

-Church culture/Family Culture

 -Understanding the purpose of life

 -Vulnerability in her secret place
