Filly is joined with Dr Shiromi Wimalaguna, a GP passionate about advocating for mental health. I met Dr Shiromi in a business group we are both part of, and straight away I felt connected to her and her warm and bubbly nature. I was also super impressed with her proactive steps to helping patients with mental health issues. For her it’s less about just slapping an antidepressant on a script, and instead really understanding the patient and his or her needs, and provide lifestyle and skill-set support to empower the patient. I also love that Dr Shiromi is a big advocate in patient shared-care: to build bridges and work together in the name of looking after our patients.
