70 Years, 70 Muppets

The Muppets of the Week are... HUGGA WUGGA and THINGY THING! Yes, those sound like nonsense sounds, but they're the stars of a fan favorite and abstract sketch from The Muppet Show.

With our very special guest: Brian Jay Jones, author of Jim Henson: The Biography!

The Muppets of the Week are... PJ & KAI-LEE! The stars of Jim Henson's Play Along videos! If you want some neat stuff to know and do, you'd better listen up to this podcast episode.

The Muppets of the Week are... JIM, FRANK, and JERRY! Otherwise known as The Country Trio! These icons are modeled after their performers: Jim Henson, Frank Oz, and Jerry Nelson, and they were designed and built by the legendary Bonnie Erickson. So it's a pretty great thing that we've got Bonnie on this podcast as our very special guest!

The Muppet of the Week is... DROOP! The Muppets' resident sad little guy is extra sad because he didn't get his own week in the main 70th anniversary campaign. But now is his time to shine!

With special guest hosts: The team behind the Muppeturgy podcast! David Levy, Adam Grosswirth, Michal Richardson, and Christie Baugher!

The Muppets of the Week are... CLUELESS MORGAN and MAD MONTY! Two of the professional pirates from Muppet Treasure Island! Did you know that this dastardly duo had a lot of iconic roles beyond their Muppet movie? Of course you did - they're iconic.

The Muppet of the Week is... BIG TINY TALLSADDLE! He's the head of country radio station WHOG, and he very well might be the worst Muppet to ever grace the stage of The Muppet Show.

The Muppet of the Week is... DELBERT, THE LA CHOY DRAGON! So cook up some noodles in dragon fire and let's get going on this classic Jim Henson commercial star!

The Muppet of the Week is... FLEET SCRIBBLER! He's the obnoxious gossip journalist who just can't help himself from writing scathing articles about The Muppet Show for his tabloid "The Daily Scandal".

To learn more about the ethics of Fleet's job, we're turning to a series of real life journalists!

The Muppet of the Week is... ANNIE SUE! One of the most shocking omissions from the original 70th anniversary campaign! We're doing her justice by proving that the world knows who Annie Sue is... right?

The Muppet of the Week is... SUMMER PENGUIN! Created for the 2018 revival of Muppet Babies, we're counting her as an official Muppet. Hey, if Baby Skeeter counts, then Summer does too.

With special guest: Muppet Babies producer, writer, and voice actor Matt Danner! Yaaaaaaaay!
