The officer was racing to help establish a perimeter for a felony warrant suspect, weaving through blocked lanes on Figueroa Street with full emergency equipment activated when Estrada appeared in the road. This tragedy illustrates the desperate balancing act of emergency response—trying to reach someone who needs help fast, while every second also puts the community at risk.
