Stereotyped as uptight, boring legalists, the Puritans have gotten a bad reputation. But, the heart and work of the original Puritans was incredibly passionate, rich, from the WORD, and Holy Spirit filled. The Puritans have greatly shaped the Church today and did a lot of work surrounding holiness, suffering, daily life and more. The Puritans were devoted to preserving the "purity" of God's WORD.
