When trying to stop watching porn, there are a few default habits that we tend to fall into, ways of going about trying to pursue freedom. We usually don't question the approach we're taking. We just start doing what seems to make the most sense.
And if we're not seeing results, we figure we just have to try harder.
Back in episode 41, we discovered that when it comes to HOW to pursue freedom from porn, what appears "obvious" is often not the case. We sort of default our way into the HOW, not realizing that the default, common sense way of doing it may actually not be the most effective.
And actually, the common sense way can actually hinder our progress.
This is what I gradually discovered when I finally started experiencing the exhilarating freedom that I didn't know was possible.
When I shifted my approach, freedom came not be trying harder, but by doing things differently.
As I discovered a different way to take steps towards freedom, there were three specific things that I had gotten in the habit of doing previously. They seemed to make perfect sense, but I started to see that they were not helping me. They may have actually been part of the reason WHY I had been experiencing freedom in the first place.
In this episode, we're going to look at each of these three "mistakes" that I made, and that I think most guys are currently making as well. And most importantly, we'll discuss what you can start doing INSTEAD, that will help you finally start to gain some serious traction.
