Most of you know that I run Fame and Fortune - a digital marketing agency. And I am always being contacted by potential clients and I have some fantastic friends that throw opportunities my way frequently! One recently was to run the social media for a big-time entrepreneur. I loved the application - it asked questions I’ve never been asked on an application or in a job interview before. Some of them were obviously very relevant to the job by giving me a link to a blog post on their website and asking how I would write the caption for social media. It also asked for a link to a post I had written that I was most proud of, but that was tough because uh, but how do I pick just one!? But finally, the question that made me pause, it asked for my top 5 core values. Interesting.

It linked to an article that shares 500 core values in case I needed some inspiration. And of course, I did, but wow - so so many:

Amusement

Okay, I won’t bore you, but I did spend a good amount of time reading through their suggestions. Finally, I listed:

1. Creativity

2. Fun

3. Professionalism

4. Curiosity

5. Organization

I found it really hard to pick just 5, I probably would have struggled even if they had let me choose 10. Have you ever thought about your core values as an employee or business owner? What would be in your top 5?

I can’t wait for you to hear the interviews in Season 7 - I never would have guessed when I started conducting interviews to start Selfish almost 5 years ago the inspiration I would find from each person, and that is especially true for Season 7. Enjoy!
