Today for our 73rd episode, I wanted to add a follow up to our 71st episode when I talked about deep work. This episode I wanted to quickly talk about getting ahead of the game. Specifically, talking about the types of tasks we can do in advance in order to get ahead of things.
In this Internet enabled world, it’s so easy to focus on the immediate. To let our inbox run our lives. I hate inboxes, and I hate push notifications and I hate pretty much anything that works 24-7 without my input.
Which is funny, because that’s what I love about the Internet as a business owner. But I hate it as a productive person.
But I’m powering through so that I can enjoy this time in Bali. The thought of setting up my microphone, plugging in the cables and trying to find fast internet for this episode was stressing me out. So I recorded it before I even left the United States. I got ahead of the game. And I wanted to share some thoughts on how you can get ahead of the game too.
