The RBA wouldn't normally take a backseat on its policy setting day, but recently, world financial news has had bigger fish to fry. Markets plunged, particularly in Japan, before staging a rally. Our AUD has taken a beating too. So we had James Austin, Firstmac CFO, on to make sense of it all.

Firstmac is the largest non-bank lender in Australia with over $16b in loans under management, and is an associate of Savings.com.au and the InfoChoice Group.
