May 3- World Press Freedom Day. On this occasion, Freedom Chautari podcast discusses overall status of press freedom and freedom of expression within a year (May 1, 2019 to April 30, 2020). 
Number of press freedom violations slightly increased this year with 107 as comparison to 104 last year.  The sporadic violations directly affected a total of 206 journalists. Out of which, 195 male and 11 were female.

Freedom Chautary (FC) is an official podcast channel of Freedom Forum (FF), a non-governmental organization, working for the institutionalization of democracy, protection, and promotion of human rights, press freedom, freedom of expression and right to information. We produce a variety of talk shows that cover topics ranging from media freedom to freedom of speech\ expression and civil liberties to right to information, and internet governance to open budget. Additionally, we talk about human rights, transitional justice processes, state of impunity and citizen's chores to parliamentary affairs .
