Today’s story, told by our beloved Hosur Thaathaa, takes us to a day when Chennai city faced heavy floods and rainwater entered the ground floors of many homes. People, birds, and animals all struggled that night.
In the middle of that chaos, a poor street dog gets swept away by the water; frightened and helpless. An eagle spots the dog and, instead of harming it, lifts it gently and leaves it in a safe place.
The next morning, neighbours come together; sharing food and checking on each other. They even give a bun to the rescued dog. At that moment, the dog sees a little rat caught in the water and remembers how the eagle saved him. Without hesitation, he jumps in to save the rat.
A touching reminder that kindness spreads; and everyone can help someone in times of need.
