I have learned to sit with what is bothering me. Instead of drinking it away, smoking it away, sleeping it away, eating it away, pleasuring it away, or running from it.
When I sit with what is bothering me the healing begins. I feel it first, then I understand what is behind what's bothering me, where that uneasy feeling comes from. Once I understanding it I can make friends with it. And that is the key to not letting what bothers me become chronic.
