Matthew Bronstein, born and raised in Agoura Hills, CA, received his bachelor’s degree in Horn performance from Roosevelt University in Chicago, where he studied with Dale Clevenger, the long-time principal horn of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. A highly praised freelancer in the Chicagoland area, he spent two years as a regular member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago and has performed with the symphony orchestras of Chicago, Montreal, Milwaukee, and North Carolina, as well as the Lyric Opera of Chicago, the Grant Park Music Festival Orchestra, and the Chicago Philharmonic Orchestra. His versatility has allowed him to perform with the Chicago Jazz Ensemble and Chicago Jazz Philharmonic, while also working on multiple jazz and pop recordings with such recording studios as Hinge Inc., Engine Studios, and Transient Sound Inc. His attended summer festivals include the Spoleto Music Festival, the Midsummer Chamber Music Festival, Tanglewood Music Center, the Music Academy of the West, and the Round Top Music Festival. Matthew is an avid sports fan and plays in the Midwest Suburban Baseball league on the Chicago River Bandits.
