Before You Bloom

77 ~ Motherhood and Moving Abroad: Nathalie Rocha's Inspiring Journey

Listen Later

In this beautiful episode, I chat with Nathalie, a 24-year-old who has navigated some of life’s biggest transitions with courage and grace. Born and raised in Brazil, Nathalie made the life-changing decision to move to Australia entirely on her own at just 18 years old. Since then, she has embarked on incredible journeys—becoming a model, discovering her passion for acting, and most recently, stepping into the transformative role of motherhood to her beautiful baby, Ocean.

Nathalie opens up about the challenges of moving abroad and adjusting to a new culture, learning English, building a support system from scratch, and finding her footing in an unfamiliar environment. She shares invaluable advice for anyone considering a move overseas, offering tips to navigate uncertainties and embrace the adventure.

We also delve into Nathalie’s experiences as a new mother, exploring how motherhood has changed her life, the joys and challenges it brings, and how she prioritises self-care amidst the demands of raising a child. Her story is a testament to resilience, adaptability, and the power of chasing your dreams, no matter the obstacles!

The Before You Bloom Podcast is recorded on the lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. I would like to recognise their continuing connection to land, water, and culture and pay my respects to their elders past, present, and emerging, and any Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people listening today.
